Every day of her visit, Grammy Eve told Xander a long, detailed, fascinating story of how she'd had to climb a banana tree (at her hotel) to bring him breakfast. It was always a mysterious tale, fraught with lots of empty banana trees; Xander was never sure if the story would end with Grammy pulling a banana out of her bag or not (though she succeeded everytime, and even brought oranges to go with the bananas most days).
Day Six: Still surprised and excited to get that banana!
Monday was Xander's first day at pre-school (in the same school where he's attended daycare since he was 20 months old). He was a bit nervous -- can you tell? The day had its good parts and bad parts. Saying goodbye to Mommy and Daddy was hard; the kids were too loud at lunchtime, and Xander cried. But there were cupcakes for someone's last day -- and that part was just fine with Xander.
