I took the kids to Seattle for a few days to meet up with some of the moms in my awesome online moms group. Five families from Sacramento, Seattle, Houston, and Edmonton descended and we spent three days touring the city, chasing our kids around, getting to know each other better, and simply having a blast.

Clare on the big red couch in our hotel suite, wearing the robot jammies all the kids had.

Xander and Ella in their robot pajamas.

Xander insisted everyone call him Gary. It became quite the running joke.

Playing peekaboo with Mia and Ella while Beatrix searches for Christa's underwear, which a few minutes later she walked out with on her little blonde head.

Waiting for the trolley.

Kisses for a sleeping Clare.

The fountain at Seattle Center...

...and Xander's reaction when it suddenly shoots two huge towers of water hundreds of feet in the air.

Clare was so easy the entire time. Just alternated between sleeping and smiling, all day long.

These old amusement park rides are closed and being removed from the Seattle Center -- but that didn't stop Xander from breaking in and pretending to ride them. He also tried to climb up on the ferris wheel, but I just beat security to him and pulled him off.

With Ella underneath the Space Needle (or "Space Noodle," as Xander calls it).

Watching the other kids splash in the kiddie pool.

I was amazed I even got him into his trunks. He so wanted to join them, but he was just too shy/scared of the water.

Vacation means donuts for breakfast.

Clare all wrapped up in Ella's blankie.

An attempt at a group shot, though it's missing Gideon, Leo and Henry.
