Day trip to Bellingham

Yesterday we got up early and made the 150-mile drive to Bellingham.

First stop: Downtown. We had to get Xander a bagel from the Bagelry.

Then we went to the Shaughnessy's house. Xander was so excited to see everyone again. Us too!

It was as if he and Jack hadn't spent a single day apart.

Everywhere he goes, Xander finds "work" to do.

After lunch at Boomer's, we headed to Eric and Stacy's house, where the Hemingson clan was waiting for us.

Clare didn't want to eat or sleep all day, but she was such a little trooper. She stayed pretty chipper the whole day.

There was so much fun to be had in the Osterkamp's basement.

Anna and Clare!

Sweet Maya!

More cute Maya!

Adorable Anna!

Xander kept roaring at Eric and "scaring" him. (Eric's such a great sport.)

A little side-by-side play from the two littlest ones.

Guess what Xander has already said he'd like Santa to bring him next Christmas?

It was difficult to get a photo of Xander and Jack together because they never stopped moving.

Jack!

Our last stop was at Taya's house, where we saw Taya, Baby Anya and Emily.

Xander attempted to introduce Anya to the wonderful world of DVDs.

Anya kept very close tabs on Baby Clare, taking away anything she got her chubby little hands on.

Clare's new teething toy was a big hit with Ms. Anya.

She is so stinkin' cute.

Having already taken away the book, Anya grabs for the pop-up toy.

And when Mommy tried to take a picture of Xander and Clare, Anya was not particularly pleased.

The kids were in their pajamas and ready to hit the road at bedtime. Both fell right asleep in the car.

First thing this morning, they were back to the usual routine.

It was so great seeing everyone! Thanks for having us. We hope to get back in a couple months to see those of you we missed this time around (and meet the newest Roselli family member after she arrives).
