First stop: the old neighborhood. Clare had her first swing ride at Elizabeth Park -- in the same swing Xander loved when he was little. You can't tell in this shot, but she really liked it.
Xander's old, beloved gazebo.
Then we walked down at Boulevard Park.
Xander threw rocks into the water with Michael while Clare and I watched them from the boardwalk.
Clare finally got to eat at a real restaurant! Fiamma Burger downtown. It was yum. She likes wearing Daddy's sunglasses.
So does Xander.
Clare dives for the ketchup.
Then sets her sights on Xander's strawberry shake.
We got to hang out with the Shaughnessys for a couple hours. Here, Xander is excitedly telling me that he and Jack found three spiders.
Princess Vonni!
Clare refused to nap, but still stayed (mostly) upbeat during our visit.
Next stop: The Rosellis!
Lexi is just too sweet.
The big kids in the wagon...
...headed to On Rice with the dads to get yummy Thai takeout.
Lexi has obviously learned quickly how to be a great big sister to Baby Alyssa. She was fantastic with Clare, too.
Best pantry-turned-toy-closet ever.
If only these two kids could learn to have some fun together!
Baby Alyssa is a little doll.
This is what 12 straight hours without sleep looks like on an 11-month-old baby.
Look at that gorgeous, all-American family...
...trying to ignore the hyper interloper.
This shot pretty much sums up how we felt about the day.
