Xander and Clare

Wednesday was Xander's preschool picnic. His new teacher and four classmates (along with parents and younger siblings) met for the first time, played, ate lunch, had circle time, went on a nature walk, and then finished up at a second playground space. We all had a great time.


Teacher Kaylene is awesome and I predict a really fun year for Xander.


Xander wanted to hold Teacher Kaylene's hand on the nature walk. This is sort of a big deal for X, who usually needs a little time to warm up to people.


Amelia is Xander's one classmate he already knew from summer school. They had a blast (and got major cases of Crazy Hair) on the slide.

Clare had fun, too! She's amazing me with how she wants to climb around like the big kids already.


Aunt Rachele and Cousin Troy sent Clare her first fairy princess outfit. Oh my, the cuteness. It's still a bit big, but we had to try it on anyway.


Xander wanted to wear what he called the "butterfly" wings.
