Wha dish? ("What's this?")

Clare's new thing is saying "tada!" like in one of her favorite "Charlie & Lola" books. Here, she's throwing up her arms and saying "tada!"

Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Liz sent us all some fun goodies this week. Clare has Xander put together her puzzles, then takes them all apart, so he'll do it again. They both love the book you sent for Xander, Dad and Liz.
Thank you, again!

Jade came over before school on Friday with his mom so we could bake muffins for the preschool's big 5K Friendship Run fundraiser on Saturday.

Circle time with Teacher Kaylene.

Grandma Mary sent the kids Valentine cards this week and a wonderful book, which has her recorded voice telling the story. Clare starts it up, over and over. Earlier this morning, Xander walked by while it was playing and said, "Hi, Grandma Mary!"

Xander wanted to run with his classmates in the Tot Trot, so Michael bent the rules a bit and entered him in the 4-year-olds' race.

I was busy volunteering for the event, handing out ribbons and gift bags to all the little runners, so I missed Xander's race, but Michael managed to wrangle Clare, get Xander into the starting position, and take photos.

Clare wanted to run, too. Maybe next year.

Xander prepares a vase of water for one of the toys Grammy Eve sent.

The car gets bigger when you submerge it in water. He keeps checking it to see if it's working. It is!
