We piled into the car and headed up to Dosewallips State Park, driving much of the way right alongside Hood Canal. Gorgeous.
Happy to be out of the car (although I have to give our kids so much credit: I hadn't packed a single toy or book for the drive, and they never once melted down or got bored. Music and scenery; apparently that's all they need. And crackers. Never forget the snacks, or all will be lost.)

Watching "Z.D.," which is how she currently pronounces "Xander." So cute. I'll be sad when she figures out how to say it correctly (but not as sad as Xander will be if the nickname "Z.D." sticks).
