Xander and Clare

Troy and Rachele came with us to drop Xander off
at preschool summer camp yesterday.


Xander loved showing them around.




Later that day I took X and C to the grand opening ceremony
of West Bay Park. We drive by it all the time and Xander has waited patiently
for it to open (it was supposed to be finished in January).




Oblivious to the crowds of city officials and community members milling about, waiting for the ribbon cutting ceremony, Xander got to work "mowing."


He even let Clare take a pass at it for a minute or two.


But only because he was busy eating a cookie.
(Free cookies? The day just got better and better!)


He and I debated whether or not he was taller than the fire truck's wheel.
