Xander's turn for a haircut this week.

A treat for doing such a good job. He also selected a pencil
out of the "treasure" box at the salon.

Clare got a sucker, too.

I took Xander to the class play put on by Mr. Halvorson's 2nd and 3rd
graders on Tuesday night. (Mr. Halvorson was one of the teachers X
got to "act" with when he was in the all-school assembly skit awhile back).

He loved it and is already dreaming of when he's in Mr. Halvorson's class
and can be onstage again.

He asked me if we could go backstage afterward. Here he is,
reliving the glory days from his pirate skit a couple months ago...

Trying to get chosen by Mrs. Swett to answer a question in class on Wednesday.

Our neighbor Drew had to come over and watch Xander for a bit on Wednesday
night while Michael rescued me from a flat tire. She drew a fantastic picture of
Xander, and then Xander drew, well, this of her. Heh. I love it. And I especially
love how he spelled her name underneath her portrait.

Spring almost made an appearance this week. It was still a bit too cold.

But the trees know it's just around the corner.

We went over to the house of a classmate of Xander's on St. Patrick's Day
to celebrate the big Irish holiday with green pancakes and eggs. A huge hit
with all the kids (and the moms)!
