Xander's last days of kindergarten

End of school year party at Yauger Park on Monday afternoon.

Kindergarten class being blinded by the sunshine
(except Xander, who must always have his sunglasses
on hand).

My last volunteer day in the classroom luckily landed
on the last day of school. Here are Kiri and Xander
on their last day of preschool together, a year ago:

Giving Miss Ann a "thank you" card before she retires
later this week.

Annabelle and Xander gave Mrs. Swett a sweet thank you present
for the last day of school.

Mrs. Swett was the first person to sign Xander's yearbook.

Their last science assignment.

Drawing their class tree, in its summertime state.

Playing chase with Logan.

I got to see the rehearsal for their big kindergarten program.
Xander was so ready. Didn't miss a detail.

One last storytime with Mrs. Swett. (I may or may not have been
shedding a couple quiet tears during this part.)

Goodbye hugs.

Daddy and Clare were waiting outside for Xander,
to take him for some celebratory ice cream.

Okay, just one more hug for Mrs. Swett.

Off we go to Baskin Robbins.

Kiri (and Mikah and their Mommy) went for ice cream, too!

Proud first grader.

The next afternoon, Michael took X to a nearby
baseball park (after much begging from Xander) to play
a little ball.

Thursday night was Xander's big concert. Clare
waited very/mostly patiently for the show to begin.

Dancing and singing to "Bobbalinka."

"I'm A Little Star"

"My Dog Rags"

Oh, I just love Lily.

Snapping.
