X's first game of the season

Carrying in all his gear.

Checking out the cool dugout.

Hanging up his bag (he'd practiced this part; that hook is a bit tricky).

Front row!

Playing shortstop. And, coincidentally, the other team's coach, Krissi (next to the pitching machine),
was Xander's first ever baseball coach, when he played t-ball three years ago.

Xander batted twice and got hits both times. He hit in the first run for the team,
and they went on to win it 14-12.

Foul ball.

A hit!

It was a great start to what promises to be a really fun season.

And here's a badly shot video of Xander's first hit (and RBI) of the season.
He and Clare keep asking me to play it so they can laugh at her
telling him not to get a strike or he'll lose.
