Xander and Clare

Opening up a birthday box from Grammy Eve and Grandpa Bill.

Think she likes her new kitty purse??

Xander had late start yesterday for school, so he got to join us
for the first part of Clare's field trip to do some planting around the Capitol Campus.

Xander and Kiri hanging with the little kids.

Attempting to give Clare a hug goodbye before leaving for school with Kiri,
but Clare wasn't having it.

Planting beans.

Later we moved over to the Governor's Mansion lawn,
where the kids planted potatoes.

This is when they found out one of the governor's people
was delivering freshly baked cookies for them as a reward
for all their hard work.

Cookies! Cookies!

We then shamelessly held out/bribed them with said cookies so they'd all
sit still for a portrait in front of the mansion.

Clare was yelling "Cookies!" when I snapped this one.

It was a super fun morning and we really lucked out with good weather.
