Xander and Clare

Clare's very last drop-off at Westside Cooperative Preschool,
where Xander started going when he was just four.
Gonna miss this place...

We took the kids to a nearby spot to see a huge colony of bats a couple nights ago.

It was gorgeous.

But we didn't plan well and hadn't counted on the mile-long hike,
so once it got dark, we had to go before seeing swarms of bats.
We did get to see a couple dozen fly out from the train trestle in the
water where they live. The kids loved it.

Not a bad place to end the day.

We then celebrated the end of summer with the Rydholms
on Labor Day.
