Xander and Clare

Opening Valentine goodies from Grammy Eve.

Way more snow than they actually had on their snow day
back in December. But off to school they went!

We had to traipse a bit farther than the usual bus stop
because buses were running on snow routes.

Clare loves playing basketball!

Shortly after taking this photo, Xander's basketball season ended
unexpectedly with an ankle injury. (He was fine a couple days later,
but then the flu knocked him out and he had to miss their last game.)

He hobbled out to join his team after the last buzzer.

"Good game, good game, good game..."

Clare spent one afternoon making owl after owl after owl.

Clare's favorite Valentine this year.

Clare is learning to play chess and asks to play every night now
with Michael.

One of only two girls in her class invited to a classmate's
Star Wars-themed birthday party. She had so much fun.

Posing menacingly with her blow-up lightsaber (from the
birthday party) and pretend nunchucks she made from
empty toilet paper rolls. Yup -- that's our girl! :)

Last basketball practice of the season. Her awesome coach
ended the practice by helping each player "slam dunk."
