Grandma and Grandpa Harger arrived for their annual August
visit and the kids couldn't have been more excited!
They got here just in time to go to the kids' final swim lesson of the summer.

With me now working full-time from home, I had to put Grandpa
and Grandma to work. Here, they're helping the kids with
their summer workbooks.
We hit a fun children's fair at Bloedel Donovan Park.
Once Clare found the gigantic indoor Lego space,
she didn't care about anything else on offer.
I won Mom of the Year Award for finding this
Carmelo Anthony Syracuse basketball jersey at Value Village.
Grandpa and Grandma took us all out to eat at La Fiamma.
Thanks again, you guys!
Then we went down to Bellingham Bay and wandered around for a bit.

Watching a train car come down the tracks. Several went by
and most of them waved or honked. Clare loved it.
No, Xander did not get prescription glasses. But he got his hands
on this "fake" pair and we can barely get them off him.
Clare didn't get the memo to make a silly face.
There it is!
The kids loved finding this note for them after
Grandpa and Grandma had gone.
Waiting to jump out and scare Xander as he comes down the stairs.

Proudly turning in their summer reading log to
the Bellingham Public Library.
Showing off her two missing front teeth.
It's been an exciting week of baseball here as our Bellingham Bells
clinched a spot in the West Coast League Championship series.
Xander and Michael went and saw them win tonight (and Xander caught a
t-shirt thrown to him in the stands from the field) -- so now X and I will
see them either (hopefully) win the title tomorrow night! BELLieve!
