Seattle Staycation 2014: Days 3 & 4

After saying goodbye to Kelli and Emily, I planted myself in this spot
for a good part of the afternoon.
Xander in the stands.
Xander on the court.
The boys took off for a Tacoma Rainiers baseball game,
and Clare and I went out for a treat.
Just like the old Oly days...
Getting as close as he could to Manny,
but no luck getting an autograph.

In his happy place.
In introduced Clare to the Muppet Show. We watched the same
Steve Martin episode I watched the summer I was six years old.
It was a big hit.
Clare loved pretending that Henry's room was hers while we were in Seattle.
She also loved reading all his comic books.
We started Monday morning off at IKEA, followed by more
school clothes shopping at Southcenter Mall.
Took the kids to the Rainforest Cafe for the first time.
This was the exact moment Xander realized the crocodile statue
in the swamp out front actually moved.
Give me a silly face!
Now give me a serious face!

Doing a little dance outside the restaurant after lunch.
Then we headed down to Pike Place Market, in hopes of
showing Clare all the sights -- including the throwing of the fish.
We found the colorful (and disgusting) gum wall in Post Alley.
My thoughts exactly, X.
Adding his own gum to the collection.
At this point, Clare was pretty much over being out and about.

A view of the Sound from behind the market.
A cool collectible shop in one of the market shops.
We eventually headed back to the house and just chilled out for the rest of the night.
Clare found a sword...
...and some bubbles.
