Spring Break 2015 - Day Three

Mapping out her plan of attack for day one at Legoland.
But first: the most fabulous, kid-friendly (and parent-friendly) breakfast ever. Totally delicious for everyone.
After breakfast, we had some time to kill before the park opened, so I wandered around the hotel and took a few photos. It's a pretty fantastic place, even if you're an adult who doesn't care at all about Legos.
What's this, you ask?
This is the disco elevator. You step inside, and "The Girl From Ipanema" plays mellowly. You push the button, and then...
The disco ball lights up and the music switches to loud, crazy disco. So silly and fun.
You can just imagine what this was all about. And every single time our kids walked by it, they had to stomp on it. "Ohhhh, you stinky thing!"
Our hallway.
In the lobby.

Ready to hit the park!
Legoland Hotel guests get to sneak in an hour early, through a different entrance.
Waiting in (very short) lines for our first rides of the day.
The Coastersaurus was a big hit. (We ended up riding it first thing on day two, as well -- twice in a row!)
On to the Sky Cruiser.
Clare and I were in front...
...and the boys right behind us.
Clare and I then got in a huge line for the park's biggest roller coaster, the Technic Test Track. The boys headed off to the Quest Laser Ride. We waited a long time...
...and Clare was so excited to almost be at the front of the line. It was definitely the biggest roller coaster she's ridden so far--and she loved it!
Clare and Michael on the Bionicle Blaster.
Miniland was awesome -- a bunch of different cities and famous sites all made in Lego.
We all hopped on the Coast Cruise and saw even more cool Lego creations, like the Sydney Opera House and Mount Rushmore.

More waiting in line. When Clare found out she wasn't tall enough to ride this crazy throw-you-all-around ride, the Knight's Tournament, at a level 5 (she was only tall enough to ride at a level 2), she decided it wasn't going to be exciting enough and we moved on.
Clare and I hit another roller coaster, the Dragon, while boys headed over to the Driving School ride for Xander.
We took a quick tour of the Chima Water Park (Clare has long been obsessed with the Chima cartoons). We thought we were just going to do the water park on our second day...
...but the kids were instantly read to head back toward the hotel and get their bathing suits on (with a quick pit stop for a photo with Emmet.)

Clare, upon first spying this part of the water park: "Mount Cavora!!"
Posing with Laval.
And Skinnet.
Back to the room to put together a small Lego set she bought.
More pool time!
The kids swam for ages while Michael and I had dinner at the patio restaurant right next to the pool.
More building before the pajama party.
On night two, she was an old pro at the pajama party.
Second night means the kids switched and Clare got the top bunk.
