D-Block Vegas Trip 2016: Day One

Michael dropped us off early at the Bellingham International Airport.
Our flight was full of D-Block players and family members. X sat next to Liam, from the 7th grade team (he's 6'6"!), whose brother Chef is on X's team.
Watching for our luggage with his buddy Isaac on the ground in Las Vegas.
Xander's first Uber ride, as we made our way from the airport to the hotel.
X and his classmate/teammate Nick, as we waited in line to check into our hotel. We stayed at what used to be the Hilton, where Elvis played hundreds of shows.
X loved our room on the 26th floor.
He also loved our Concierge Lounge, where we had breakfast, all-day cookies and snacks, and appetizers and drinks every afternoon/evening.
We went straight to the pool (it was 106 degrees!), where X had fun in the pool with his buddies.
I found the perfect spot, under shade and with a wall of misters spraying nonstop around the entire perimeter of the cabana.
X and "Chef" (aka Eli).
X and I took the monorail on our first night to the nearby Las Vegas strip and wandered through Paris Hotel & Casino. It's surreal how you can't be completely sure if you're indoors our out (except that it's air conditioned and not at all uncomfortable, like outside).
Walking out onto the Strip for the first time.
The view from in front of the Bellagio.

We watched the famous Bellagio fountain show a couple different times, from two different vantage points.
Headed back to the hotel at a reasonable hour, ready for a day of Vegas adventures and his first D-Block Jam On It tournament game.
