Clare went for her first orthodontic evaluation.

We had decided to do braces in two phases -- one right away on the top only (mostly for cosmetic reasons only), and full braces in a couple years. But after looking at insurance coverage and talking it through with Clare, she's comfortable waiting and having all the work done just one time, rather than twice.

in a basket at the Filling Station. 

Xander had two nights of tryouts for the fall/winter D-Block sixth grade team last week. Competition was tough but we're proud to say he made it!

I went to Parents Night at Xander's middle school last week.

We all went downtown on Friday evening for the Commercial Street Night Market.

Xander found the vintage sportswear booth, naturally.

We got to spend a couple hours on Sunday with the Osterkamps. We don't see them often enough! Clare and Kaden bonded over LEGO-building.

My birthday gift arrived yesterday -- a king-size mattress that somehow fits into that tiny (but heavy) box.

We switched beds around this morning after unwrapping our mattress and watching it magically inflate -- Clare now has the twin bed and X got our queen. They're both really excited for the changes.
