Celebrating Anya's birthday at MOD after their volleyball game.

Ten!

Clare making the final serve for the championship win!

Coach Sara had Clare lead the team chant after they became champs.

These girls battled hard to beat an amazing Lynden team, two sets to one.

Clare's last Trail Blazers hike of the season.

Clare chose Xander as her hero on her MVP poster for Mr. Z's class.

Our sweet little girl picked out her Halloween costume all by herself -- complete with bloody sledgehammer.

Syd came and hung out with us before school one morning. They tried to walk to the bus stop together, but ran back to tell me there was a giant buck at the bus stop. I drove them down to wait safely -- and sure enough, there he was!

Clare's P.E. class -- photo shared on the school's Facebook page.

Clare's finished MVP poster, hanging on the classroom wall.

Thanks for the Halloween cards and gifts, Grammie Eve!

Back on a chess kick.

Hanging with Jasper before the big Jog-a-thon school assembly.

I took photos at this year's fundraising race, and then made a slideshow for the kids to watch.

Harvest Festival time!

Walking in with Syd and Corwin.

Both kids won at the cake walk as soon as we arrived.

Lots of fun games and costumes.

Big kids.

Beautiful Saturday down at Boulevard Park.

Lexi putting X's hair into pigtails during the Seahawks game.

The Purple Panthers celebrated a fantastic season with an ice cream party at Mallard.

One last (quiet) Purple Panthers chant at the end of their end-of-season ice cream party.

Where you'll find Clare every day after school for exactly one hour.

Scary Halloween costumes!

Xander's too big to trick-or-treat with ol' Mom and Dad anymore. Instead, he went to his friend Jay's neighborhood and ran around with a group of classmates, where they hit the full-sized candy bar jackpot.

It's so dark when Clare heads out to the bus stop! We're definitely ready for the clocks to fall back this weekend.

It's Spirit Week at school. Here's Xander's take on Wacky Wednesday.

And here he is on Throwback Thursday, decked out in Sonics from head to toe.

Goofing in the doctor's office, waiting for his yearly physical. He was stoked to find out he's now 5' 3 1/2" tall!

We got snow last night! Earliest I can ever remember...
