Xander and Clare

Xander built an entire neighborhood of "houses" in the family room last week.

I didn't get any good photos, but the kids had a blast playing
in the sand at Sand in the City.


We ran into lots of friends there. Apparently it was the place to be.
Xander was excited to get his face painted (a first!) once he saw Jade doing it.


Henry went first.


Then it was X's turn.


He wasn't too sure about it during the process...


But he liked the finished product very much.




Michael took Clare home for her nap and the rest of us stayed at the Farmers Market for lunch. Here the boys are enthralled by a ragtime band on the market stage.




Clare and I went to Bigelow Park yesterday, just us girls.


Watching the other kids. Or maybe this was when she was watching the goat. Yes, someone brought a goat on a leash to the park.


Clare doesn't like swings. For a very long time, she wouldn't even let any of the rest of us sit on a swing if she could see us. She's tentatively tried swinging at Ben's house a couple times, but yesterday she surprised me by wanting to swing for real -- and for a really long time. Yay, Clare!
