D-Block Vegas Trip 2016: Day Five

A quick dip in the pool to cool off, and then back to my happy (shady) place, where I watched the D-Block boys play some kind of noodle baseball tackle game in the water.
Happy kid. Thanks goodness for sunscreen!
Preparing for their last game; playing for third and could do no worse than fourth.

Two of my favorite sports moms. Our boys played baseball together all of spring and summer 2015, and have been on D-Block together now since last fall.
It was a tough loss, but the boys won their pool, went on to the winners bracket, and came in fourth. They can be proud of how hard they worked to get there and the heart they put into each and every game.
What a great group of kids -- and coaches. (Missing Nick in this photo, but when you've got a flight to catch, you've got a flight to catch!)
I love 'em all, but this kid is my favorite D-Blocker. :)

We hung out after everything wrapped up to get X a t-shirt, and on our way out, he discovered a couple old NBA floors that had been used in the tournament.
One last trip to the pool for a few of the D-Block kids and families before heading home tomorrow.

These two have been playing basketball together since rec league.

What a fun way to finish up our trip. Great kids.
D-Block moms by the pool on the final night of our fabulous tourney trip.
One last poolside selfie.
Since Michael, Clare and Laurie couldn't make it to Vegas, Dean and Josh became our travel buddies on this trip.
Dean and I decided we'd better do at least a little bit of gambling before it was time to fly out the next morning. I lost $20, which seemed reasonable for an hour of entertainment.
Up past midnight on his last day in Vegas.
