D-Block Vegas Trip 2016: Day Four

Another day, another hotel room selfie.
Listening to the National Anthem before their Day 3 morning game.
Ready to go. They lost a tight game the night before, but were ready for two more chances today.
Coach Brad's wife, Kristy, is that impressive supermom who not only enthusiastically cheers on every D-Block team member, but also simultaneously reads a book to her ridiculously sweet and cute 3-year-old.
Big win for D-Block fifth graders! (Real score was 26-48, but scoreboard gave Cade's final bucket to the other team.) They won their pool and headed on to the winners bracket.

Someone's quickly got just a little too comfortable with the all-day cookies in the concierge lounge. :)
Elvis statue in the lobby of our hotel, which used to be the Hilton, where Elvis played hundreds of shows.
Spot a Corvette in a casino? Must have his photo taken with it. (This happened more than once on the trip.)

Welp, Xander found a new favorite spot in our hotel -- and learned that sports betting is a thing. They were showing the Cubs game and an Ichiro documentary; X was bummed he couldn't just hang out and watch.
Tourists!

Hotel room window selfie!
Walking through our hotel to the Convention Center right next door. Shortest (and easiest) game travel time ever.
Ready for warm ups. If they'd won this one, they'd be in the championship game the next day.
Sadly, they didn't. :(
We headed back to the strip to explore some more.
X and I ended up exploring every Monorail stop except for one over the course of the trip.

Xander liked this (ridiculous) $900 backpack at Caesars. The guy told us we could have it for $783. That's totally reasonable, right?
The Venetian.

Las Vegas: Where you can't be sure if you're indoors or outdoors, and whether it's actually daytime or night.
Xander walking the Strip.
This was the latest we stayed out while in Vegas (which was, admittedly, not very late for Las Vegas standards). But X loved it.
