It's our annual tradition to hit the Village Books New Year's sale in Fairhaven.

We also met up again this year with the Winters for lunch.

Their new dog Duke joined us.

We spent New Year's Eve at the Winters and Clare made up a game for all the kids to play, where they eavesdropped on the parents' conversations and recorded anything interesting. "Things that they say that is suspicious." Ha!

Xander got a step-counter from Grammy Eve for Christmas. On this day, he had morning basketball, basketball at P.E., and his usual D-Block practice that night. LOTS of steps.

X invited his teammate Caiden to join him and Michael for a men's WWU basketball game.

I got to volunteer in Xander's 6th grade classroom this week, as they worked to bind books of poetry they'd all written.

It was fun meeting some of the new kids X has met this year in middle school.
