We got so much snow earlier this month -- the kids missed FOUR days of school!

Photo shoot for Clare's class valentines. I mustache you a question: Will you be my valentine?

Xander and Clare were so bored during the prolonged break that they worked together to clean and organize Clare's room.

This kid is so dang funny.

I took X to Portland for his patiently awaited birthday gift: Tickets to see the Boston Celtics play the Portland Trailblazers.

Our hotel was fantastic -- and X could even see a smidge of the Moda Center from the balcony of our room.

Happy kid.

In the glass elevator.

Which hat should Mom wear??

Waiting to say hello to Celtics players coming out to warm up.

Getting Kelly Olynyk's autograph.

We were definitely in the nosebleed seats -- only three rows from the very back row. But we were situated right at mid-court and ended up with a fantastic view of the game.

The Celtics did not look good in the first quarter and not much better in the second...but they came alive in the third and fourth and pulled out an amazing win!

Celebrating as we left the Moda Center.

We met up with Patrice for breakfast the next morning, before heading home.

Stopped at Mod Pizza for lunch on the way home, per the belated birthday boy's request.

Family walk around Whatcom Falls Park.

First back yard s'mores of the year.

Clare has discovered Harry Potter and is working her way very quickly through all the books. She drew Harry on this year's Valentine's Day party bag.

Valentine treats from Grandpa Charlie and Grandma Liz!

Xander and his 6th grade team performing for Reader's Theatre. They did a fabulous job!
