Getting ready to head out for a quick Port Angeles adventure.

First stop: the Port Townsend ferry.

It was choppy and COLD -- a very PNW July 1st.

Pulling into the ferry (un)loading dock.

We immediately met up with Kate, Jessica & Henry to eat lunch waterside, and then drive to our final destination, about an hour away. (We made a quick pit stop at Finnriver Cidery.)

Checking out our digs. Great place!

There was lots of Uma time during our stay.

And a hot tub in the back yard!

Hoops, too -- what more could X need?

Clare took approximately 1, 375 photos of Uma over the course of our two-day stay.

Loading up the car to head out for a hike.

Such a gorgeous walk!

Stopping halfway through our walk to pose for a photo. Uma wasn't feeling it. We walked over four miles along the water and through the trees. Just lovely.

Children soup for dinner. ;)

Divvying up the fireworks.

It was Colonel Mustard in the lounge with a candlestick.

The kids were good sports as we took them to the gravesite of one of Michael's and my favorites authors.

Gorgeous spot.

Making our way back home so we could see Tasha, who was visiting Bellingham for the first time in eight years.

MOD Pizza stop on the way home.
