Baseball, Basketball & Blueberries

Closing of the first day of baseball camp.
Warming up with his Happy Valley friends
before the official start of the final day of camp.

Coach Hatch motivates the boys with a little speech
and then tells them to head into the stadium.

After camp that day, Xander got autographs
from the Bells players and all the coaches.

Clare ran the bases while she waited.
Coach Hatch is a bit of a baseball legend in Bellingham.
He told me that X is a true player and very focused.

This week: Basketball camp!

The Sehome basketball coach took one look at Clare,
noticed how tall she is, and said she seems to be ready
for basketball camp herself.
Clare and I harvested some of the bluberries
in our back yard today. So many yummy berries!
Clare is the biggest blueberry fan in our house, so she ate most of them.
Celebrating the end of his summer baseball league
with a little DQ.
And how did I forget to post this photo a couple weeks ago?
Xander coaxed a batting practice ball out of
Boston Red Sock Daniel Nava at Safeco Field.
