Xander was pretty excited to see Isaiah Thomas sitting in as a sportscaster on ESPN. He had to take a photo for Instagram. :)
We took a fantastic family hike around the Stimpson Nature Reserve.

Counting the rings.

Xander's last spring baseball game.

What a season! They ended up with a 12-1 record. X is busy with D-Block through July, so didn't try out for the competitive baseball team this year, but one of the D-Block dads pulled together a rec team with a bunch of the basketball players, and they'll just play for fun right here in town.
School BBQ time again!
X and his buddy Jay shooting hoops before it was time to eat.

We headed to Seattle last weekend and Xander decided to try his very first hamburger ever. And we didn't even realize it was National Hamburger Day!
Instagramming our lunch, because he is my kid, after all.
I wouldn't say he loved it, but he definitely liked it and ate almost the entire thing.
Pokemon pals.
Michael and Xander went to the Mariners game on Saturday night, where they almost immediately ran into a few of Xander's friends.

First funnel cake!
Game 6 between the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder was happening, so the boys watched from down by the bullpen.
Sunday morning, heading off to the annual Zeke-End Memorial Day Basketball Tournament. X had high hopes to meet a few Celtics players and get them to autograph his favorite hat.
It worked!
Chatting with Isaiah Thomas!

Meanwhile, we tooled around Seattle, eating yummy junk food and playing video games.
Bellied up to the bar at the old-school arcade, waiting on her chocolate milkshake.
Playing 4-person Pac-Man!

Clare helped Kate scare off some birds in the back yard who were trying to build a next under the eaves.
Lifelong friends.
Ah, the joy of pulling out a toy you haven't played with in awhile...
Xander and his classmates at the All City Track Meet. All fifth graders compete in different track and field events.
Waiting for his turn at the softball throw.
He came in 10th out of a ton of kids, throwing it 130 feet!

His buddy Olin came in first place, throwing his softball an astounding 215 feet!
