The plaque from Xander's Yakima tournament -- man, that was a hard-fought 4th place, having been the only team in the whole pool to beat the eventual champions, and their couple of losses be by only 1 to 2 points.
Getting all snazzed up for his Author's Tea. (I had to bring him his clothes, since he had P.E. and couldn't get the tie on without help.)

Xander and his buddy Jay, ready for their presentations.

Academics or sports -- this kiddo is always making us proud.

Xander, Peter & Jay.

X and his classmate/baseball teammate Hunter.

Clare at her after-school Girls on the Run session.

A weekend of baseball at a tournament in Lynden. X's team won two really exciting games on Friday night.

The only Mother's Day shot I got -- sun in our eyes, but I'm posting it anyway. :)

Clare plays with the sisters while X plays baseball with the brothers.

It was a gorgeous day for baseball on Mother's Day. X's team made it to the championship game,
but ultimately lost to Lynden.

Xander had an inning where he threw only six pitches, getting three batters out in a row. He came to the dugout, gave me a fist bump through the fence and said, "That was for you, Mom." :)

Xander liked this outfit he put together and said to me, as he was heading out the door for school: "You can take my picture if you want." You don't have to ask me twice.

18th wedding anniversary dinner at Mambo (The Fork was, sadly, closed). Photo by Xander.

Two ding-a-lings taking selfies...

Back seat selfie on the drive home from dinner.

Clare and her baseball crew at Xander's Thursday night game.

Her first year riding her bike on Bike To School Day.

She was pretty proud.

Off she goes to meet up with neighborhood kid Jena and Josh to ride to school together.

Looking thrilled to join me at the Junior Ski To Sea parade on Friday night (she actually did want to go and had a fun time).

Picking Xander up from hanging out at Jay's house.

A sunny Sunday means walking through Whatcom Falls Park.
