Sledge Summer Vacation 2018: Days 1 & 2

We woke up at 3am so we could get to SeaTac in plenty of time for our 8am flight. We like to be early. ;)

Happy faces just before we take off!

Serious faces after both of these kiddos got sick from nerves/turbulance.

Watching our landing.

Wheels down and Xander finally realizing his dream of getting to Boston.

Our fantastic Airbnb for the week: a three-bedroom condo in Cambridge that was just lovely.

Walking through our Cambridgeport neighborhood to get dinner at a local place.

We stayed in for the night, getting to bed at the reasonable hour of 10pm and sleeping until 8 the next morning!

The books in the home were mostly in French.

First morning, Michael and the kids went to Dunkin for donuts, but I stayed back and happily made an omelette.

Our front porch swing.

Walking to Harvard!

Entering the Harvard campus.

We stopped at Newbury Comics in Harvard Square, where we found Juliana's last two records on sale.

Lunch at Tasty Burger in Harvard Square, Clare playing with her Newbury purchase.

Exploring a very old graveyard near Harvard -- headstones from the 1700s.

I'd really been looking forward to getting to the Harvard Museum of Natural History and it did not disappoint.

We walked by this gorgeous old church and peaked inside.

Beautiful!

Walking through the Plaza on Harvard's campus.

There was a cool set-up with ping pong tables, cornhole, and other yard games.

I think we tuckered them out.

Pretending to be Michael back at our place, before dinner.

Michael, Xander and Clare walked to another neighborhood restaurant for dinner...

...and I went out with my fabulous friend Nicole!
